I am a diploma qualified and ISRM registered Soft Tissue Therapist who specialises in sport and remedial massage. My work experience includes working with private clients as well as working in a British Territories Overseas hospital on a part-time basis for two years. Part of my education includes a degree in social work and the knowledge and experience I obtained greatly compliments my role as a Soft Tissue Therapist to see the person as both a physical and an emotional being.
I work with active athletes, people who participate in sport on a recreational basis and with occupational related over-use factors. There are three main reasons for massage therapy, to treat an injury/pain or to prevent an injury/pain and to promote wellness.
I have an interest in a wide variety of sport and personally participates in athletics, netball, tennis, squash, badminton and running. I also facilitate stretching and do pre-event, intra-event, post-event and maintenance massage.
Some of the benefits of sport and remedial massage are reduced injuries; improved range of movement; improved power and performance; maximise the supply of nutrients to the rest of the body; enhance the elimination of metabolic by-products of exercise; reduction of scar tissue, muscle stiffness and pain; heightens mental alertness; improve posture and skin tone.
Treatment of all age groups. Minors, under the age of 18 years, to be escorted by a parent or guardian.
Every new client must complete a consultation form. Please come 5 minutes early with your first appointment.
